Getting Here

The conference will be held in three rooms of the Research Beehive, located in the first floor of the Old Library Building at Newcastle University. For information about various ways of getting to Newcastle, please see Newcastle University's travel page.

If you arrive in Newcastle by train, the simplest way to ge to the university campus is to take the metro from Central Station (immediately nest to the railway station) for two stops until Haymarket. From Haymarket metro, the campus is on the other side of the road. This map shows Haymarket (the letter M) and the Old Library Building (number 18) in red. Wheelchair-accessible routes are also indicated. Comprehensive information about the campus including full maps is available here.

The Research Beehive itself is immediately on the left and up the stairs once you enter the Old Library Building. If you cannot use stairs, a lift is available: when you enter the building, continue straight on through two sets of double doors, and then turn right where the lift is signed. Take the lift to Level 2 and use the access control buzzer on the wall to the left of the doors to get into the Research Beehive.  If you have any other accessibility needs we will do our best to accommodate them - please contact us at pgconfling@ncl.ac.uk to discuss details.
