Child Speech, Language and Impairment Group

The Child Speech, Language and Impairment Group is a group of academics, speech and language therapists and postgraduate researchers interested in child language development with specific emphasis on the diagnosis, assessment and therapy of child speech, language and communication disorders.

The participants are usually based either in Newcastle University or organisations such as the NHS Trusts.

The group meets on a quarterly basis and the agenda is driven by the participants. It's over-all purpose is to provide support for the research activities of the group membership. This is achieved through:

  • presenting ongoing research;
  • exploring data; and
  • discussing papers.
