The School for Marine Science and Technology will host their annual careers fair on Friday 8th November 2013. The event in previous years has deemed very successful for all including school pupils, teachers, company attendees, undergraduate students and staff.
The event in 2012 was attended by 600 school pupils aged 15-18yrs , 300 undergraduates and 42 companies. The event show cased a wide range of high profile companies and employers who shared the details of their challenging and exciting careers.
Additional to the standard careers fair school pupils participated in a range of stimulating, interactive activities which were designed to help pupils apply their own knowledge and skills into a range of disciplines, which we hope helped to bring science learning to life.
In the afternoon pupils had the choice of attending an engaging debate, a mini conference or cookery demonstration promoting the use of sustainable fish.
