The School of Marine Science and Technology is spread over 3 seperate campuses, two in the United Kingdom and a further campus in Singapore, Asia.

The school is mainly situated in Newcastle upon Tyne, but it also has a marine science laboratory on the coast in Cullercoates,which is approx 8 miles east of Newcastle upon Tyne.

The University occupies a large campus in Newcastle upon Tyne city centre, which has excellent travel links to the rest of the UK and Europe:

• a busy international airport on the northern edge of the city provides links to major European air transport hubs and several cities in the south of England and Scotland

• fast rail connections - London (2 hours 45 minutes) and Edinburgh (1 hour 20 minutes)

• a busy coach station

• ferry services from nearby North Shields to Holland, Germany and Scandinavia
