Our year 1 students got a chance to visit Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd, a shipyard based in Singapore. The students visited two locations of the shipyard: one at Benoi 5 yard and the other at Benoi 15 yard. The students also visited the diving support vessels and saw other production activities in the hull shop, piping shop, etc. They also visited the engineering office of the yard.

Finally, all students attended a corporate talk by the Keppel Offshore and Marine HR Department and also two NU Alumni working at Keppel. The students were very enthusiastic in seeing all production facilities and felf this is an important part of their learning. Dr Arun Dev and Dr Sergio e Ribeiro e Silva accompanied the students along with another Ngee Ann Poly Lecturer.
 
The men in white boiler suits all studied at NU (Singapore) and are now working at Keppel.
