Resources and support

Resources and support

Use the University's Careers Service to help you decide what to do after you graduate.

The University also has a Student Advice Centre, and a Student Wellbeing Service.

Personal tutor system

The University runs a Personal Tutor System to give you help and advice.

Your tutor is normally someone involved in the teaching of your degree programme.

They can provide help and guidance for any problems that you may have, and can refer you on to the relevant support.

Sailing & Yachting Club

The Sailing and Yachting Club has three key activities: team racing, yachting and social sailing.

We run a 'social sailing' programme, aimed at students of all ability levels from utter novice to accomplished racer. Social sailing lets anyone get out on the water in a supervised environment and have fun.

Each year we compete at the British Universities Sailing Association team racing nationals and the Yachting nationals. We own our own yacht, based at Royal Northumbria Yacht Club, and a fleet of fireflies, based at South Shields Sailing Club.

We are based at Derwent Reservoir Sailing Club.

Club Activities

1st team Training: Wednesday's 1.30pm at Derwent Reservoir Sailing Club

All Team Training: Saturday's 11am at Derwent Reservoir Sailing Club

Social Sailing: Sunday's 11am at Derwent Reservoir Sailing Club

Yachting: Saturday's/ Sunday's at Blyth Yacht Club (times vary)
