EDB-NU IPP Scholarships

We are pleased to let you know that in collaboration with the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), Newcastle University has launched the EDB-NU IPP to help build up a pool of postgraduate manpower with critical R&D skills for roles in industry.

Under this programme, PhD candidates will have the opportunity to work on industry-related research projects in large companies with R&D capabilities and be provided a salary of up to S$3,300 a month, inclusive of all tuition fees and R&D related expenditure. The Programme is open for Singaporeans or Permanent Residents only.

We are looking for candidates who have deep interest in marine-related disciplines and relevant bachelor/master degrees to apply for the EDB-NU IPP Scholarships to work on the following research projects which are geared towards finding solutions which are impactful and practical:

- Noise and vibration on offshore structures
- Hydrodynamic analysis of offshore structures

Application is now open and closes on 31 December 2012.
