Teaching
Your teaching on the Delve Deeper course will be delivered by marine biology professionals, all experts in their field, and assistant teachers. The course materials for Delve Deeper will be supplied by us over the internet.
The field course will reinforce the concepts introduced through the internet based modules, and will extend your learning experience by enabling you to engage with the subject on a practical level.
Field and laboratory based exercises will aid visualisation of the biological processes and issues relating to the marine environment, and will demonstrate at first hand the diverse range of techniques employed by today’s marine scientists.
You will develop a range of skills, and be supported throughout to increase your confidence in learning and in your ability to understand marine biological and scientific terms.
Equipment
The only equipment that you need for Delve Deeper course is for the internet based modules - a PC or Mac computer, with access to the internet.
There is no need to buy any books or materials, all your course materials will be supplied by us over the internet and during the field course. If during the course, there is a particular area or topic that you wish to read about in more depth, or are having trouble with - we can advise you further at the appropriate time.
