Hire Our Facilities

It is possible to hire our laboratories in which to base your own field classes. In this case, we would be happy to provide any back-up support or local knowledge you may require.

Facilities available include laboratory space at the Dove Marine Laboratory and the department’s own research vessel, the R.V. The Princess Royal. This package includes:

  • technical support;
  • use of field-equipment and standard laboratory chemicals;
  • a "Site Portfolio" describing accessible sites in a range of habitats, travel times and suggested exercises;
  • the services of the Project Development Officer who will trial and research the feasibility of any field project in advance.
