Background
I completed a PhD in Marine Ecology at Newcastle University in 2007. Subsequently I went on to do a post-doc at Bangor University looking into species range edges and climate change indicators.
Roles and Responsibilities
Currently I work in the outreach team based at the Dove marine Laboratory running the Big Sea Survey. I also coordinate the distance learning course Delve Deeper.
My research interests include the influence of anthropogenic impacts on the movement and persistence of marine benthic communities in both natural and artificial habitats.
I am also interested in species range edges and distributions. I work closely with the Marine Biological Association of the UK surveying the movement of rocky shore climate change indicators.
