The majority of the taught MSc programmes run for 12 months and are intended to provide an opportunity for advanced study. These programmes are designed for graduates (or those with equivalent qualifications), either coming directly from University or having had industrial or other relevant experience.
Some of the MSc programmes offer an equivalent nine month postgraduate diploma course, which essentially requires a shorter dissertation to be submitted.

Students may also wish to consider following a programme that leads to a Masters degree purely by research. Please see our MPhil.
Full-time programmes begin at the end of September. For some programmes part-time study is possible, eg. for students employed locally, typically over a two or three year period.
