• for students presenting with excellent entry qualifications

UKNEST SCHOLARSHIPS - £3,000

As part of its work, UKNEST is offering 3 undergraduate scholarships to students studying for
future employment in the sector and who are members of IMarEST or RINA. Scholarship benefits
per student are:

• Bursary of £3,000 per annum (£1,000 per term)
• Mentoring from a UKNEST member organisation
• Access to a UK NEST member organisation to support your studies

Charles Letts Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship

• this scholarship aims to support UK applicants in Marine Science and Technology. Both Marine Science and Marine Technology students are encouraged to apply. Typical awards are up to £2,500 per annum for three or four year programmes.

The Institution of Engineering and Technology

• Ambition awards: IET can offer current undergraduates the opportunity to apply for scholarships worth up to £3,000, which can help assist you with the continuation of your studies.
• We can aslo offer scholarships worth up to £3,000 per year for students due to start their IET accrediated degree starting the October 2012.
• Apply online at www.theiet.org/ambition by 28th June 2012.

Guy Joseph Memorial Award for overseas project work in Marine Science

• an award for overseas project work can be applied for by students studying the following degree programmes:
• Marine Biology
• Marine Biology and Oceanography
• Marine Zoology

GL Noble Denton Undergraduate Scholarships 2012 Entry

• a scholarship available to students accepted on to the following degree programmes:
• BEng or MEng Marine Engineering
• BEng or MEng Naval Architecture
• BEng or MEng Offshore Engineering

Eliahou Dangoor Scholarship

• a scholarship available to UK students studying science, engineering and maths related courses, with priority being given to those from under-represented or non-traditional backgrounds.

International Scholarships

• International Scholarships of £2,250 are awarded by the University for each course on the recommendation of our undergraduate selectors.

AMEC Natural Resources Bursary

• Offshore engineering students from north-east England postcodes can apply for an award of £3000 per year.

Crozier Fund

• for female students from Northumberland or Tyne and Wear studying biology subjects

Pybus Fund

• for mature students

Industry sponsorship

• for Marine Technology and Engineering Students
