Within marineNewcastle there is a long track record of expertise in different fields of marine research. Research is carried out across schools and faculties resulting in interdisciplinary collaboration.
marineNewcastle's focus is on four main topics which are then broken into smaller areas of research. Within each topic certain areas of research overlap with other topics, which shows the possibility for interdisciplinary research. A brief list of research and the four main topics are given below:
