Postgraduate at Work StationWe are a lively and friendly School who have an excellent reputation for our research in all fields.

In the most recent Research Assessment Exercise (RAE2008), 50% of the research output of the School was classified as world-leading or internationally excellent, and a further 45% was rated as internationally recognised in terms of originality, significance and rigour.

You can complete a research degree at MPhil or PhD level in the following broad research areas: Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and Statistics. We also have pages with more specific information on funding your study and applying. As part of your study here, we encourage you to present at the Postgraduate Forum - a series of seminars within the School. This also provides you with the opportunity to practice for presenting at conferences and helps you to broaden your research knowledge.
