PhD student wins prize!

Congratulations to Joe Matthews for winning best student presentation

Joe Matthews, one of our fourth year PhD Statistics students, recently won best student presentation at the 2017 Research Students' Conference. His prize was complimentary attendance to the 2017 Royal Statistical Society's annual conference, held in Glasgow between 4th-6th September, and an invited speaker slot at this conference. Joe is supervised by Dr Lee Fawcett, and his research investigates the role of Bayesian hierarchical models to predict road traffic accident hotspots. Well done Joe!
