Beyond academia

Three School projects have been awarded University funding to support the development of engagement and enterprise.

Andrew Fletcher has been awarded £7,000 to convert maps of the Milky Way obtained by the new Low Frequency Array (LOFAR) radio telescope into a format suitable for use in planetarium shows.

Matt Linsley on behalf of ISRU has been awarded £5,000 to develop an integrated, advanced high reliability organisation approach with Blue Stream Consulting.

Nick Parker and Malcolm Farrow have been awarded £10,000 to develop Bayesian models for unravelling the fluctuations that arise in ultrasonic monitoring of industrial bioprocesses.
