MathSoc shortlisted for RMP Best University Society Award

The School of Mathematics & Statistics would like to congratulate MathSoc on being shortlisted for the RateMyPlacement.co.uk "Best University Society" award. Only four societies have been shortlisted in this category and the overall competition received over 300 nominations. The Best University Society award celebrates the University society that has promoted and encouraged their members to undertake work experience.

Congratulations to MathSoc and especially to Ben Northfield and Alice Sharman who put together the nomination and to Becky Hirst, Nicola Bell and Bee Evans who provided testimonials.

Rate My Placement award winners

Professor Steve Homans, Pro Vice Chancellor for the Faculty of Science, Agriculture and Engineering at Newcastle University presented them with the award at a ceremony on March 9th 2012.
