Mathematics & Statistics student Emily Stewart had an outstanding run at the 2013 BUPA Great Edinburgh Cross Country event.
Emily was 6th in an international race, was 1st Briton home beating Lisa Dobriskey (World 1500 silver medallist) and Charlene Thomas (world finalist) and only being beaten by half a metre by Vivian Cheriuyot (World 5000m, 10000m, and cross country champion). The Olympic Champion, Defar of Ethiopia was about 15 secs in front.
