Dr Christopher Campbell
Reader in Astrophysics

Research Interests

Astrophysical fluids, magnetohydrodynamics, with particular interest
in accretion processes and binary stars. The role of magnetic fields
in relation to mass and angular momentum transport is of central
importance in this research, which has applications to a wide range
of astrophysically important systems.

Other Expertise

Stellar oscillation theory.

Current Work

Magnetic winds in accretion discs.
Disc disruption by strongly magnetic accretors.
Stellar-magnetospheric interactions in AM Herculis binaries.
