First Class graduate wins Keppel medal
Choon Zi Jie, one of our Singapore-based students who will graduate with a First Class Honours BEng degree in Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Engineering later this year, has been awarded the SIT-Keppel Gold Medal.
The medal, sponsored by the Keppel Corporation in Singapore, is awarded to Choon Zi Jie for being the top student from the graduating cohort of the MDME degree programme.
Choon Zi Jie will not be able to attend the Newcastle University graduation ceremony and to receive the medal in person in Singapore this November but for a very good reason: he is due to fly to the UK in September in order to pursue a Masters degree with the School of Mechanical and Systems Engineering in Newcastle.
Congratulations to Choon Zi for this well-deserved award. We wish him all the best for his Masters studies at Newcastle UK!
