Professor Nilanjan Chakraborty has recently been invited by the Engineering and Physical Science Research Council to join the Peer-Review College, which helps EPSRC in the review of grant proposals and panel decisions.
Prof Chakraborty has attracted more than £750k worth of EPSRC research funding since moving to Newcastle University in July 2011. He is the leader and Principal Investigator of the recently formed UK Consortium on Turbulent Reacting Flows (UKCTRF), as well as a steering group member for ‘N8 Supercomputing’, shared by the northern Russell group universities.
