Following the meeting of Senate earlier this month, it has been confirmed that several members of our academic and research staff have received promotions and awards.
Dr Tom Joyce has been promoted to become Professor of Orthopaedic Engineering in recognition not only of his excellent research in biotribology but also contributions to teaching.
Mr Tom Zunder has been promoted to Principal Research Associate, following considerable success in obtaining grants and managing major projects.
In addition to these there are a number of other promotions, as well as awards to individuals to recognise work above the normal expectation for their current positions.
“The School owes its success to every individual, some of whom are recognised in this way, others less visibly,” said Head of School Dr John Appleby, “but I continue to value the contributions of all.”
