Following excellent results in RAE2008 for Mechanical Engineering at Newcastle University, the School plans to build on its international standing and make substantial investment in academic staff and facilities. As part of this plan, we have recently appointed three new Lecturers who will join the MSE staff later this year.
Dr Chaozong Liu and Dr Oana Bretcanu both work in the area of Biomaterials. Dr Liu will join the School in September and Dr Bretcanu in November.
Dr Guohong Tian has been appointed to lecture in Thermodynamics, but will be based in the Swan Institute for his research collaborations. He will also join us in September.
