Bioengineering incorporates the Centre for Rehabilitation and Engineering Studies (CREST). Strengths include biotribology, musculo-skeletal modelling, motion analysis, and nanotechnology, rapid prototyping and robotic solutions. We have a focus on the maintenance and optimisation of mobility, which is of particular relevance to the health of the ageing population and to animal populations such as the horse and zoo animals.
