Personal Information

I join the University from a background in Industry. My first career was in teaching, after which I spent 22 years in International Sales and Marketing at British Steel and its successors.

I am in the process of moving to Tyne & Wear from South Yorkshire and, due to the difficult property market, am currently splitting my time between the two counties.

Roles & Responsibilities

I am now working within the Freight & Logistics Group of the NewRail team. My responsibilities are all about dissemination for the various new and ongoing research projects. Specifically, I am organising conferences and producing publicity materials for the RETRACK, SPECTRUM, SmartFuSION and eFreight Projects, all part of European Framework Programmes 6 & 7.

My ability to speak basic German and fluent French is already proving to be of major benefit!
