Introduction

My research interests are directed toward the application of nanotechnology for processing of biomaterials for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Key projects include:

  • Design and development of scaffolds for musculoskeletal tissue repair and regeneration.
  • Functionally gradient Collagen/HAp composite scaffold for osteochondral tissue engineering.
  • Physical environment for the control of cellular behaviours of stem cells.
  • Novel bioreactor system for osteochondral tissue engineering.
  • Synthesis of nano-HAp/biopolymer composite.
  • Rapid prototyping of collagen/HAp composite scaffold for bone tissue engineering.
  • Control of biomolecular interactions at medical device surfaces.
  • Surface functionalization of nanocarbon materials for drug delivery.
  • Porous carbon surface modification for cleanning environment application.
