Paulus Aditjandra is a transport scientist, civil engineer by training with project management and environmental engineering experience working in a governmental body and the private sector. His main research interest is urban form impact on travel behaviour and the extent to which transport/land-use planning can be shaped towards meeting the future sustainable travel behaviour. Dr Aditjandra offers experience of quantitative micro and macro transport econometric modelling approach as well as qualitative transport research.
Having worked for 2,5 years (2008-2010) as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Transport Research (CTR) University of Aberdeen, Paulus has worked on various UK Research Council and EU funded transport research projects spanning from his main core research area interest in SOLUTIONS (Sustainability Of Land Use and Transport In Outer neighbourhoodS) and ReVISIONS (Regional Visions of Integrated Sustainble Infrastructure Optimised for Neighbourhood
S) and extended to other research areas in international journey planning systems (FP7), transport inclusive digital economy (EPSRC), rodmapping Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) technologies (INTERREG IVB), walking and cycling in Scotland (NHS) and Segmentation of Sustainable Mobility Campaign (IEE).
Since joining NewRail in 2010, Paulus has been working on FP7 funded projects SuperGreen and Smartfusion.
