Stage 3 Individual Projects - Assessment

Each Project will be assessed by the following items weighted as indicated (details on each are given in separate pages):

The assessment will be made by the project supervisor and a second examiner, who will be a member of academic staff of the School.

Representative samples of projects will be moderated by:

  • the Project Module Leader using the project documentation (log book, final report and poster), and
  • the External Examiners by viva voce examination of selected students and with access to the project documentation.

Either set of Moderators may recommend adjustments of Project marks to the Board of Examiners in appropriate circumstances to ensure that marks are consistent both across each group and with the standards required for the class of degree. The final mark will be awarded by the Board of Examiners.

The log book, final report and poster will be retained by the School for TQA and accreditation purposes.
