Welcome to The School of Medical Sciences Education Development. We are a vibrant school with a large teaching portfolio and a national research and development profile. The focus of our work is curriculum innovation and learning support.
We are host to the Higher Education Academy subject centre for Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine, a UK-wide initiative supported by the four Higher Education Funding Councils to enhance the student learning experience.
The School is also proud to be the hub of the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching CETL4healthNE. This is a collaboration of North East universities and healthcare partners which aims to impact on the professional workforce needs of the modernised NHS.
