Introducing George Roberts:
I am a Senior Lecturer at Oxford Brookes University in Educational Development, with a focus on Learning Technology. My MA in Education was done at the Open University (2001) and included H802, Applications of IT in Distance Education. I have been at Brookes since 2000 and joined OCSLD in June 2006. Among other things, I lead the PCTHE and collaborate in course design and development, teaching, assessment and evaluation. And I play a part in the strategic development of the University’s learning technology innovation.
From 2002-2007 I was an Associate Tutor on the Open University's MA in Education, teaching on E844: Language and literacy in a changing world. I recently completed a PhD (2011) at the University of Southampton on Biographical narratives of adult users of a community IT centre, looking at the relationships between identity, community and IT use.
