My research focuses on how androgens drive prostate cancer cell growth, and more specifically how we can exploit changes in glycosylation to improve the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer.
After gaining my PhD at the University of York, I moved to the Institute of Genetic Medicine to pursue a post-doctoral position with Professor David Elliott. During my five years working as a Research Associate I developed internal and external collaborations, built a strong publication record and began to establish my own research niche. I was then delighted to be successful with my application for a two year Faculty Fellowship.
This independent position will allow me to gather preliminary data, further build my publication record and carefully craft external fellowship applications.
