The aim is to provide students with a fundamental understanding of the basic principles of chemical engineering thermodynamics and how to apply these thermodynamic principles in chemical engineering processes.

Assessment Rationale And Relationship
A written exam is appropriate for the substantive theoretical content. The assignment is used to test the development in understanding of the theoretical content. The assignment will be used to determine if students can link practical embodiments of thermodynamic principles.
The exam tests the knowledge of the students and the concepts taught in the lectures. The coursework develops the concepts taught in the lectures. Assignments are used to develop the ability to solve problems.
