To enable the students to:

Teaching Rationale And Relationship
The teaching methods are varied and include lectures, workshop activities, independent study and reflective learning (including development of an online portfolio). Intended learning outcomes include synthesising leadership and coaching theory and practice, to enable the student to optimise their leadership coaching style.

Assessment Rationale And Relationship
On completion of the module, the student will be able to identify an effective coaching conversation.
The MCQ case studies will be based on real life coaching scenarios to enable students to identify the most appropriate technique to apply. The written assessment will develop understanding of coaching theory and practice.
The formative assessment requires the student to keep a reflective journal to log their leadership dilemmas within their practice area. The reflective journal should be completed prior to the second teaching day. Students should be prepared to bring their dilemmas to the action sets in order to develop an action plan.
