Our overarching aim is to understand the role of chemical exposure in human disease. Our approaches often use in vitro models in parallel with animal in vivo studies where required and clinical investigations of patients and the population. This will inform whether results from in vitro studies are predictive of effects in man. Studies in animals are justified to understand mechanisms and develop biomarkers for man.
