NEXUS
NEXUS is the UK's National EPSRC XPS Users' Service. It's hosted by nanoLAB near the centre of Newcastle.
X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) is one of the principal methods of probing the composition and electronic structure of surfaces.
There is an increasing number of research applications for XPS in:
- electronics and semiconductor physics
- novel materials and biomaterials
- surface chemistry and functionalisation
- sensor surfaces
- adhesion
- abrasion
- tribology
