This course invites students to explore the challenge of longer forms through discussion of modern and contemporary examples and through activities designed to give poets the tools to address the imaginative structural needs of their more extended poems.  It combines writing activities with discussion of existing examples, leading to a draft of the student’s own extended poem.

This course runs from 19th April 2012 to 24th May 2012.

All sessions take place on Thursday evenings, 5pm to 7pm, at Newcastle University.

If you are submitting work for marking the deadline is 11th June.
