To celebrate the bicentenary of Robert Browning’s birth (actually on May 7th 2012) a group of Newcastle-based writers will read from his work. In the first half of the programme Sean O’Brien, Bill Herbert, Peter Bennet and Kelsey Thornton will introduce and read from their favourite Browning poems. In the second half Terry and Gaby Wright will read from the famous courtship correspondence between Robert and Elizabeth Barrett Browning. In the interval, when wine will be served, Terry Wright will sign copies of his new book, The Browning Papers.
