Jackie Kay's New Collection of Poems
Jackie Kay has published a new collection of poems, inspired by the journey she undertook to write her memoir Red Dust Road.
According to The Guardian: “Fiere (Picador) probes the complexities of her shared African and Scottish identity and draws on old and modern Scots – fiere is the old Scots word for friend – as well as poems inspired by Ibo dialect and African and European art”.
