The NIHR HTA-funded DEVELOP-UK trial of the clinical and cost effectiveness of ex-vivo lung perfusion, a technology allowing objective assessment and reconditioning of unusable donor lungs, in increasing UK lung transplantation activity (CI Professor Andrew Fisher) has recently featured on the BBC Health website - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-18250455 and http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-18274240 and is highlighted in the most recent HTA bulletin.  DEVELOP-UK is a non-randomised, non-inferiority trial, with economic evaluation and qualitative process evaluation.
