Assessment Rooms

Assessment Rooms

Assessment rooms are used for human randomised controlled trials.

When volunteers take part in research it is important to ensure that they feel comfortable and valued.

NU-Food has a suite of assessment rooms, which are primarily used for human intervention studies. Here volunteers meet with researchers who record standard measurements, such as:

  • weight
  • height
  • BMI
  • blood pressure
  • blood sampling
  • other personal data

The room is fully equipped for this kind of research and facilities include clinical equipment such as tanita scales, blood pressure monitors, and leicester height measures.

Specialist equipment for physiological assessments can be provided on request. Please contact our research team for more information.
