There are 10 work stations with one demonstration station. The demonstration station has a camera above the cooking area, with a portable microphone for teaching and training purposes.
The kitchen also has three TV screens with state-of-the-art audio visual technology that allows for live demonstrations or recorded material to be streamed throughout.
The culinary training suite offers facilities for:
- research into cooking methods, cooking culture and cooking-related psychology and behaviour
- engagement events and other activities where participants cook their own food
- cooking skills classes for groups with specific needs
- practical teaching classes as part of degree or other formal courses
