This handbook was produced after the RailNewcastle 2012 summer school.  Over 20 European professionals contributed to the handbook, which describes lectures delivered during the RailNewcastle Intensive Programme, and Research Project outcomes.  Of these, seven have now been published as separate papers in Research in Transportation Economics which can be accessed at: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/journal/aip/07398859.
