NewRail are pleased to announce that they have been awarded funding by Newcastle University's Pro-Vice Chancellor Research and Innovation Strategic Fund. The money will be used towards hosting a stand at Railtex 2009. This exhibition is the UK's leading rail event showcasing railway equipment systems and services.
The event is held biannually and this year's will run from 10-12 March at Earls Court Two in London.
Prof. Mark Robinson, Director of NewRail, is thrilled by the award. "It gives us an opportunity to promote NewRail to rail industry leaders and decision makers. We expect to make new contacts, renew old acquaintances and network with fellow rail industry professionals. We will also be taking Newcastle University prospectuses with us to make use of this chance publicise our research and teaching".
It is hoped that new consultancy work for NewRail will be one of the results of the project.
