Seamless and Inclusive Transport Monthly Seminar
Calling all researchers and staff members with an interest in transport and logistics:The ‘Seamless and Inclusive’ theme of transportNewcastle begins the first of what will hopefully be monthly informal seminars (or ‘Talk Transport’!) where colleagues with shared interests can come together and exchange ideas.
The first of these seminars is planned for Friday 25 November, 1300-1400 with a lunch of soup and rolls provided.
The aim of these events is to share and exchange ideas in a completely unrestricted manner, with no pre-determined agenda. Attendees decide the topics!
As well as providing an opportunity for discussion and exchange of ideas between colleagues, for this first event two short presentations are planned.
Stavros Karamperidis, a PhD candidate from the School of Marine Science and Technology, will outline his research into developing an index of maritime costs and connectivity for the UK.Professor John Mangan and Dr Roberto Palacin will provide a short introduction about transportNewcastle and the Seamless and Inclusive theme. The session will be held in Room G.21, Devonshire Building and is free to attend but in order to get an idea of numbers for catering, please fill out our simple online form.
We hope to see you there!
