The eight year EC Funded BESTUFS projects created an open European network of urban freight transport experts, user groups/associations, projects, European Commission Directorates and representatives of transport administrations and operators in order to identify, describe and disseminate best practices in city logistics solutions.NewRail was a core partner, contributing the network development, dissemination and the publication of the BESTUFS Good Practice Guide and Best Practice Handbooks.The BESTUFS Good Practice Guide is an urban freight transport related guide which provides key information on urban freight issues to support decision-making, planning, and implementation and contains examples of solutions to goods vehicles access and loading in urban areas, last mile solutions and urban consolidation centres.The BESTUFS Best Practice Handbooks are a collection of best practices from all over Europe. They contain detailed information about case studies with conclusions and recommendations.
