Palgrave Macmillan invites you to a reception to celebrate the launch of

'The Shakespeare Handbooks'

The reception will take place at the Palgrave Macmillan bookstand in the

Herschel Building on Saturday 3 September 2005, between

3.30pm and 4.00pm. Refreshments will be available.

The Shakespeare Handbooks are introductory guides to each of the key plays of Shakespeare, offering students a scene-by-scene commentary, contextual documents, a brief history of the text and first performances, case studies of key performances and productions, as well as a wide sampling of critical opinion and annotated further reading.The Handbooks will provide an experience as close to a visit to the theatre as possible in print and offer a scene-by-scene aid to coming to an informed and independent opinion about the plays achievement.
