Shakespeare is a major peer-reviewed journal, publishing articles drawn from the best of current international scholarship on the most recent developments in Shakespearian criticism.
Its principal aim is to bridge the gap between the disciplines of Shakespeare in Performance Studies and Shakespeare in English Literature and Language. The journal builds on the existing aim of the British Shakespeare Association to exploit the synergies between academics and performers of Shakespeare. Forthcoming issues feature articles by Graham Holderness, Margaret Tudeau-Clayton, Lisa Hopkins and Douglas Lanier. Topics include The Winter's Tale and Pocahontas, Shakespeare and popular cultural studies, Shakespeare and extravagancy and a review of the British Shakespeare Association Conference, Newcastle, 2005.
All members of the British Shakespeare Association will receive the journal in print (at the end of the year) and online (throughout the year) as part of their membership.
A Web-First journal: online access to each edition, print publication with last edition of year.
