Workshop - Shakespeare for all: ‘Name what part I am for, and proceed’

Saturday 3rd September 2005, 9.30-11.00am, Bedson Teaching Centre G37

The workshop explores the idea that in practical work we are dealing with a form of theatrical production. Everyone will be invited to be involved continuously in the speaking and acting of text, using passages from A Midsummer Night's Dream, Richard II and Macbeth, in order to discover what we ourselves can bring to the performance of Shakespeare.

The workshop is of general interest to all those who might want to meet, or perhaps renew acquaintance with, the Shakespearian actor in themselves - for those interested in teaching the plays actively, the methods used are relevant to classroom Shakepseare at all levels."
