Workshop - Touchstone: Macbeth

A practical workshop by Touchstone Shakespeare Theatre demonstrating their interactive drama methods of preparing and enthusing Year 9 Pupils for their SAT’s examinations.
Touchstone do not perform for the children; we use interactive drama to immediately involve the students in Shakespeare’s plays. Schools believe that Touchstone’s workshops genuinely raise the attainment levels of SATs and Touchstone are asked back to every school they visit.
In the morning the founder members of Touchstone will work with a group of local students followed by a 2 hour demonstration and feedback session in the afternoon to demonstrate their work. The workshop will involve a selection of set scenes from Macbeth from the past three years.
