The Northern Institute for Cancer Research will offer up to four volunteer “research experience” placements for undergraduate students during the summer of 2012.
To apply please send a brief curriculum vitae (one side of A4) to Dr. James Allan (James.Allan@newcastle.ac.uk) detailing your academic qualifications, including those obtained on your current course, and your availability over the summer period. The CV should also include a brief description of your particular interest in cancer biology, your career aspirations and how you would benefit from a research placement with us.
Please list in order of preference three research active principal investigators in the Institute that you would like to work with (http://www.ncl.ac.uk/nicr/staff/academic.htm). If you have already agreed a project with a principal investigator please indicate this in your preferences.
The closing date for applications is April 1st 2012.
Successful applicants will be notified within 2 weeks of the closing date. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to notify unsuccessful applicants.
